Actually, no need to keep the PS. A a few typos kinda slipped in there somehow... Aw shucks and stuff...

Needless to say: no need to keep this PPS either...

As the man said:

PS

Please clean off the 'y Quick' leftover on the above, that is, if you desire to keep my comment.

See how your tech does not always fit the need? The 'y Quick' was off the bottom of the working space as I finished my comment because the comment does not expand interactively as it blindingly obviously needs to.

The slidey thing at the right does not not cut it for the purpose. Who wants to bother with slidey things?

I have just noticed the title about using the tools, and the line:

...technopeasants that refuse to use technology that has been put there to help them...

Yippee! I have a name now! I am a technopeasant! I am so proud!

By the way, we technopezzies pay our taxes and have rights. And one right is to spurn your gifts of tech-nolly-folly and tooly-woolies with silly names like Google.

Use the tools? Listen, I try to be polite, but I fume inside. Hey, it is not your fault. You are just a clever guy who is not equipped with the brain-ware to relate to us pezzies. We forgive you. But hearken unto our words we pray... WE WANT LESS! NOT MORE!

You REALLY do not get it, do you? It is blindingly obviously that the product (vastly over-complicated tech) is not fit for purpose.

YOU are clever at tech. I envy you.

MOST people, including myself, are NOT.

Hello! We are customers too! You know, the guys who are always right?

WE DO NOT DESIRE TO HAVE THE PLETHORA OF EXTRAS TO CLICK that the Gates & Jobs theory suggests. We want it simple.

The purpose for which tech needs to be fit is: to give an essentials-only system for commoners to use.

Clever people are always nagging me to use fancy stuff such as voice or video. If I explore it, it confronts me with a mass of options to download. If the service does not come simple and built-in when I buy the PC, it does not win my custom. Pay for extras? Learn fancy stuff? Get lost!

Anyway, why does the dratted recording not start when one clicks the email? Why does one have to do an extra click?. You REALLY do not get it. You are NOT kidding...

I do not complain about stupid people at work since if people were smart enough to do tech related things themselves I would be out of a job. Telling people to move the pointer on the screen to the box and click it is so simple. I would much rather be getting paid $100,000 for doing something so simple compared to working 18hr days in a sweatshop overseas for $0.25 an hr.

I had a HR manager level person actually call me into her office to scream at me. Why? Because she wanted rights granted to a user and wanted it right now. RIGHT NOW. She then went on for 10 minutes yelling at me why IT makes her wait. She is far to important to wait.

I asked her what did she want (specifically) the user to access. Her response the same thing I always ask for. Which is what? I shouldn't have to keep telling you people why can't you remember. I don't have the time to do your job and mine. Reality. She had no idea.

She then went on and on and on about the user form. I tried to explain to her that it is her responsibility to identify exactly what she wanted. She shrieked at me why you did it once I shouldn't have to keep telling you. I'm going straight to the CEO.

This person has the common sense of a flea and absolutely no manners. Why is she in that position? Beats me because the answer to any question asked of her is simple....I dunno ask x or y.

The very sad part. The company enables such people and never. Never ever holds anyone accountable for their actions. What I can't understand is how this place makes any money?

Could I go to anyone about this? Yes but what's the use? A company with no standards and managers who say when asked. Oh that's just her ...
Change unlikely time to sharpen the resume.

I almost invested in a bagful of stick-on "Any" keys at one point a few years ago. There's a few people I knew would wear it out in a matter of weeks.

I know we've had people that have flown 4 or more hours to come for a 3 hour meeting with 3 other people, because they couldn't figure out how to use the video conferencing facilities we have (that come with a 1 page laminated "Conferencing for Dummies" sheet). They just didn't want to look like an idiot by having to ask IT, or the receptionist. They only looked like an idiot when their expenses for 2 nights hotel, rental car and meals were submitted for something that could have been done in an afternoon for free.

Unfortunately the HR department hired him and they are not much better.

When I instructed a user to say ok (click on the ok button). He said OK. Do we have voice controlled computers?
